Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 4, 2026.
This Privacy Policy explains how In Between Answers collects, uses and protects information when you use our website, audience-question tools, newsletter, contact form and related services.
1. Information you choose to provide
Depending on the feature you use, you may provide an email address, a name, a contact message or an audience question. The Ask a Question feature does not require your name. However, a question is only as anonymous as the information you put into it, so please do not include identifying or sensitive information you do not want us to receive.
2. Audience questions
Questions may be reviewed by In Between Answers for possible discussion or adaptation into episodes and other content as described in our Terms of Use. We aim to avoid publishing identifying details from anonymous questions, but you should still avoid including sensitive personal information in the first place.
3. Information collected automatically
The Service may collect limited technical and interaction information needed to operate, secure and improve the site. For example, the site uses a randomly generated browser token stored in local storage to apply submission-rate limits. To limit spam, the site also keeps a one-way, salted hash of your IP address in its rate-limit records; the IP address itself is not stored.
If privacy-friendly site analytics are enabled, we may collect information such as page views, searches and feature usage so we can understand which content is useful. We will update this policy if our analytics practices materially change.
4. Human verification and abuse prevention
Public submission forms use Cloudflare Turnstile to help distinguish legitimate visitors from automated abuse. Turnstile processes technical information needed to perform that security check. Cloudflare's own privacy terms also apply to its processing.
5. Cookies and local storage
Administrative users may receive authentication cookies required to maintain a secure admin session. Public visitors may receive or use browser storage necessary for security, rate limiting or third-party embedded services. We do not require a public account simply to read the site.
6. How we use information
We use information to operate and secure the Service, respond to messages, administer audience questions, provide requested newsletter communications, maintain our content library, understand site usage, prevent abuse and comply with legal obligations.
7. Service providers
We use service providers to operate parts of the Service. These may include Supabase for database, authentication and storage infrastructure; Cloudflare Turnstile for abuse prevention; a web-hosting provider; an email/newsletter provider; analytics providers if enabled; and media platforms such as YouTube, Spotify and Apple Podcasts when content is linked or embedded.
These providers process information under their own agreements and privacy practices. We provide them only the information reasonably necessary for the services they perform for us.
8. Sharing and sale of personal information
We do not sell newsletter addresses, contact-form information or audience questions for money. We may disclose information to service providers, when required by law, to protect the security or rights of the Service or others, or in connection with a legitimate business transaction such as a reorganization or acquisition.
9. Data retention
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, including operating the Service, maintaining records, resolving disputes, preventing abuse and meeting legal obligations. Anonymous or adapted content that has already been incorporated into a published episode or other creative work may remain as part of that published work.
10. Your choices
You may unsubscribe from marketing emails using the unsubscribe method in the email. Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to request access to, correction of or deletion of certain personal information. We may need to verify a request before acting on it.
11. Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards designed to protect information, including authentication, access controls, database row-level security, submission-rate limiting and human verification. No online system can guarantee absolute security.
12. Children
The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly seek personal information from children under 13 through our public submission tools.
13. Third-party links and embeds
When you follow a link to or interact with an embedded third-party service, that provider may collect information under its own privacy policy. In Between Answers does not control those third-party privacy practices.
14. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy as the Service, providers or legal requirements change. The “Last updated” date identifies the current version.
15. Contact
Privacy questions or requests may be sent through our Contact page.
